Welcome to Big Dreams Child Care Center (“Big Dreams,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). These Terms & Conditions apply to all childcare services, enrollment, website use, tours, communications, and any interaction with BigDreams.nyc or our facility at 3025 Avenue U, Brooklyn, NY 11229.
By enrolling a child, submitting information, visiting our website, or communicating with us, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
1. Enrollment Requirements
Enrollment is confirmed only after all required forms, health records, permissions, and fees are submitted.
Parents/guardians must provide accurate information and update us immediately if anything changes.
Big Dreams reserves the right to accept, waitlist, or deny enrollment based on space, readiness, and program availability.
2. Tuition, Fees & Billing
Tuition is due according to the billing schedule you receive during enrollment.
Late payments may incur late fees.
Registration fees, materials fees, and tuition payments are non-refundable unless otherwise stated in writing.
Returned or failed payments may incur additional processing fees.
Failure to pay may result in suspension or termination of services.
3. Attendance & Pick-Up Policies
Parents must notify us of absences, late arrivals, or schedule changes.
Children must be picked up by closing time. Late pick-up fees apply.
Only authorized adults listed on the child’s file may pick up the child and must show valid ID.
For safety reasons, children will not be released to anyone who appears impaired or unsafe.
4. Health, Safety & Medical Policies
Children who are sick or show symptoms of illness must stay home.
Big Dreams may require a doctor’s clearance before return.
In emergencies, we may authorize medical treatment for your child. Parents/guardians are responsible for related costs.
Medication must be labeled, documented, and authorized in writing.
Big Dreams follows all NY State and NYC health and sanitation regulations for childcare centers.
5. Behavior, Guidance & Dismissal
We use positive guidance and reinforcement. No corporal punishment or verbal humiliation is permitted.
We may request a conference if behavior affects safety, learning, or the classroom environment.
Big Dreams may dismiss a child if safety is compromised, if disruptive behavior persists, or if parents fail to follow center policies.
6. Personal Belongings
Please label all belongings.
Big Dreams is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items (including toys, clothing, electronics).
Personal toys may be restricted to avoid distraction or conflict.
7. Program, Schedule & Closures
Big Dreams may adjust schedules, classrooms, staffing, or curriculum when needed.
The center may close for holidays, weather conditions, emergencies, or state-mandated reasons.
Refunds or credits are not provided for emergency closures.
8. Photos, Video & Classroom Updates
With parent/guardian consent, photos or videos may be used for internal updates, parent communication, or center promotion.
Consent may be withdrawn at any time by written request.
We do not publicly post children’s images without permission.
9. Communications, SMS & A2P Compliance
By providing a phone number, you agree to receive messages related to enrollment, updates, emergencies, billing, reminders, or center announcements.
Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply.
Reply STOP to opt out of non-essential messages; essential/emergency alerts may still be sent as required for safety.
We comply with TCPA and A2P rules as outlined in our Privacy Policy.
10. Website Use (BigDreams.nyc)
Website content is for informational use only.
You agree not to misuse the website, hack, disrupt services, or copy proprietary content.
We may update or modify website content at any time.
11. Privacy & Data Use
All data collected is handled according to our Privacy Policy (BigDreams.nyc/privacy).
We do not sell personal information.
We do not share child, family, or staff data with third parties except as required for operations or by law.
12. Liability
Parents/guardians understand that normal childcare activities carry inherent risks.
By enrolling, you release Big Dreams from liability for minor injuries or incidents that occur during regular supervised activities, except in cases of proven negligence.
Big Dreams is not liable for delays, closures, or issues outside our control.
13. Termination of Services
Big Dreams may terminate services for:
Non-payment
Repeated policy violations
Safety concerns
Behavior issues that cannot be reasonably accommodated
Abuse, harassment, or hostile conduct toward staff or children
Parents may terminate services by providing the notice required in the enrollment agreement.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Updates will be posted on BigDreams.nyc with a new “Last Updated” date. Continued attendance or website use means you accept the updated terms.
